March Brings New Changes to Flow’s Cable Channel Line Up
St. George’s, Grenada, February 22, 2010 – Flow customers will see a change to their basic channel line up as TEMPO, the regional entertainment channel on channel 29 of Flow’s basic channel line up, will be replaced with RETV.
When TEMPO launched as a new network five years ago it was given basic carriage, which ensured that for five years TEMPO would receive support from cable operators, and that TEMPO was available to every basic subscriber in the system. However, in response to the concerns echoed by customers locally and the results of extensive regional market research, Flow is exploring alternatives to better serve the Caribbean entertainment needs of its viewers. In keeping with the support Flow has for regionally produced content, as evidenced by its own Community Channel 6 here in Grenada and its sponsorship of Gayelle in Trinidad, RETV has been selected as an initial replacement, and will be assessed based on its customer response in the interim.
In addition, SportsMax has announced that Setanta Sports will cease broadcast to the Caribbean effective February 28th. “While we await the official announcement from SportsMax, all indications are that Setanta Sports will be replaced with Fox Soccer
Plus, to form the MaxPak”, states Gail Purcell, Head of Sales & Marketing. Flow promises that its existing SportsMax and MaxPak customers will be updated on these changes as they are finalized over the coming weeks.
