Flow 1 Year Later and Going Strong
Tuesday, April 07, 2009

St. George, Grenada , April 7, 2009, Members of FLOW’s Senior Management team provided members of the Media with an update on the Company’s development after 1 year of entering Grenada’s market. General Manager of FLOW, Kurleigh Prescod, announced the attainment of a significant milestone with the signing of an Interconnection Agreement with LIME. “The establishment of an interconnection agreement with LIME, positions the company to provide telephone service to Grenada, making FLOW the first true Triple Play service provider on the island.

“With the signing of an Interconnection agreement with LIME customers can expect to soon be able to WATCH .TALK. CLICK, as captioned in our tag line by the end of 2009”, says GM Kurleigh Prescod. The company launched broadband service just 6 months after operating in Grenada, and has made significant changes to its cable service, and continues to move assiduously to deliver to Grenada the commitment of full triple play service.

Since FLOW’s entry into the Broadband market, consumers of both providers have benefited from increased speeds and lowered prices. In less than 5 months FLOW customers have benefited from 3 increases in speed. Speaking to members of the Media, Head of Information & Network Systems, Brent McIntosh, dispelled the myth that FLOW’s Broadband service is dependent on LIME’s network. “FLOW operates on its on independent off island Fibre Network, “if FLOW was dependent on the competitor for the provision of our Broadband service we would all be providing the same speeds”. As evidenced by the much higher speeds offered by FLOW in comparison to the competition, it is clear this is far from the truth.

The greatest challenge faced by the company has been its path to legitimizing cable content distributed to on its network. Over the years the cable companies in the region have experienced great challenges in obtaining regularized agreements for many of the channels offered. In recent years with the growth of the industry in the region, Networks are now taking a greater interest in establishing contractual arrangements and as a result the signal fees being paid to these Networks by FLOW has drastically increased, “the company may have to consider the revision of its pricing structure offered to customers in the months ahead”, says Head of Sales & Marketing, Gail Purcell.

To mark the company’s first Anniversary in the month of April, FLOW is offering customers who sign up for Broadband an opportunity to win 1 of 2 airline tickets to New York. Customers signing up for FLOW Broadband service during this period will automatically be entered into a draw to win the prizes. To say thanks to all customers, FLOW will open up all channels for a FREE preview over the Easter Weekend starting Thursday night to Tuesday morning. On Tuesday April 14th FLOW will host a 1 day Broadband Extravaganza where customers can sign up and receive FREE Installation of Broadband service or upgrade their package and receive 1 month free service of their upgrade.
